my story

I’ve been writing since I started my own newspaper as a child. (You’ll have to email me if you want to know its name!) A dozen years later, I earned my master’s in journalism from Columbia University. I was hired out of grad school as a staff reporter for Newsday, a daily newspaper on Long Island, New York.

After two years, I decided to take the freelance leap because I wanted more control over my work — and my life. I moved back to the Philadelphia area, where I live today, and drew on my journalism skills to develop engaging health and science content and copywriting for brands and institutions.

These days, if I’m not at my desk, I’m probably:

📚 Reading literary fiction. Right now, I’m working my way through Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan Quartet. If you’re a reader too, let’s connect!

⚾️ At the ballpark. Sometimes rooting for the Phillies, but more often cheering for my two Little Leaguers.

🌳 Walking outside. Usually with a podcast, like We Can Do Hard Things, in my ears.
